SOME PRAYERS OF THE CONGREGATION

1. CHAPLET OF HEALING GRACE (use Rosary Bead. Pray it as in Rosary)

V. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit    R®. Amen

V. Come O Holy Spirit and fill the hearts of the faithful              

R  And enkindle in us the fire of your Love

V. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be recreated

R  And You shall renew the face of the earth

V. I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ His only son Our Lord. Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day, he rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there, he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

R. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting, Amen.

LET US PRAY

Lord Jesus, we praise you for your goodness. May your healing grace be with us now and forever, Amen. O God, you are the healer of your people through the ages. When our burdens and afflictions became unbearable, You sent Your only begotten Son who bore our diseases and carried our afflictions away. Father God, we look upon you for our healing. May the Calvary experience of Christ Your son bring perfect healing for us and drive away evil spirits from our surroundings. May we experience inner healing and perfect joy and love through Christ Our Lord.

2. PRAYER FOR INNER FEELING AND HEALING

Lord make me an instrument of evangelism, to bring peace to those who lack peace; an instrument to the poor for them to gain your divine presence; a quiet and gentle missionary that the world should experience your goodness. Lord, instill in me the virtue of holiness, gentleness, modesty, courage and courtesy so that I will be fully equipped to minister your grace to your people. May your Holy Spirit continue to accompany me, restore joy and happiness in my life, and empower me to do greater exploits, all to the glory and honour of your holy name and salvation of humankind. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

[NB: This Psalm is a reflection on Mt.1:21 “He will save his people from their sins).

O let your ears be attentive*  to the voice of my pleading.

If you, o Lord, should mark our guilt* Lord, who would survive?

My soul is waiting for the Lord*, More than watchmen for day break.

Let the watchman count on daybreak* and Israel on the Lord.

Because with the Lord there is mercy* and fullness of redemption, 

Israel indeed he will redeem*  from all its iniquity.

PENITENTIAL RITE

Adorers are called upon to have personal examination, and confess their sins to God who is full of love, mercy and compassion.

V. You were sent to heal the contrite of heart, Lord  have mercy on us.

PRAYER TO THE DIVINE WORD INCARNATE

I offer myself to you O! Jesus in the most  Holy Eucharist. You are all in all and all that exist. Do with me whatever you will for I am entirely yours. Amen.

O Divine Word Incarnate, the Love of God and the Wisdom of God, the Way to God, my eternal Saviour and Redeemer, have mercy on me and lead me in your path of holiness. Renew your Spirit in my heart and make me ever more perfectly your child. Amen.

O Divine Word the Victor, you are my Dependence, my Refuge and my Stronghold and all that I have and I am. Do not be far from me but enlighten my pathways, grant me favour in my endeavours, possess me and use me. Reveal to me the light of your truth and enable me to return to the right path. Enlighten my mind and my heart. Amen.


PRAYER TO MARY, MOTHER OF DIVINE WORD INCARNATE


O Mary, mother of Divine Word Incarnate, my mother, we honour you and praise you for your virtues and wonders. My mother, we always recourse to you concerning our lives. Pray for us, your sinful children and entrust us to your son who reigns forever and ever. Amen

4. PRAYER IN TIMES OF LONELINESS

You are my God, my Invisible Partner, my Bridegroom and my Protector. I love You for You are my Creator and Redeemer. I praise you for your kindness, healing mercies, forgiveness of sins, blessings and care and love. Please my Lord and my God, be with me all the hours of my life, console me for I feel lonely and let me behold your divine presence, you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

5. PRAYER FOR OUR BISHOP

Heavenly Father, in these trying times , when the spirit of the age , threatens Christian values, give our bishop (mention his name or their names) holiness of life and wisdom to direct and guide our (arch)diocesan family and the family of Societas Filii Divinae Praesentiae Missionarii, so that we may grow in your love and affection. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

6. PRAYER TO OUR LADY


O MARY, most holy Virgin-mother, I have received your well-beloved Son, whom you conceived in your stainless womb, brought forth and suckled, and enfolded in your sweet embraces. See, humbly and lovingly I give back to you the Son whom it was all rapture and delight for you to look upon; I offer him to be clasped in your arms, to be loved with all your heart and to be offered up to the Holy Trinity in the supreme homage of adoration, for your honour and glory, and for your kind. Most loving Mother, I beg you to obtain for me forgiveness of all my sins, grace in abundance to serve him more faithfully from now onwards, and lastly, final perseverance, so that I may praise him with you forever and ever. Amen. 


7. PRAYER FOR THE SICK


Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

8. ST MICHAEL PRAYER

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of Battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke Him, we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world, seeking to ruin of souls. Amen.

9. PRAYER TO ANGEL

O everlasting God, who hast ordained and constituted the services of angels and men in wonderful order; Mercifully grant, that as Thy holy angels always do Thee service in heaven, so by Thy appointment they may succor and defend us on earth. Amen.

10. PRAYER FOR THE LEADERS OF THE CONGREGATION


Heavenly Father, it pleases you to form a perfect community on earth, the Community that is to perpetuate the message of your Divine Presence and Consolation. Grant we beseech you, your favour and mercy, good health of mind and body, fear of God, wisdom and knowledge, and holiness of Life in the lives of the leaders of Societas Filii Divinae Praesentiae Missionarii, through Christ Our Lord.

11. PRAYER FOR OUR FOUNDER


Our Father and Lord, we thank you for the gift of our founder. You are the Divine Presence and Divine Consoler. We commit our founder, UTAZI PRINCE BENIGNUS to your care. Protect him and deliver him from the hands of evil men and women, and from the hands of all who are seeking for his downfall and the downfall of this your noble and destined congregation on earth. Do not allow us to be put to shame, but glorify your holy name and redeem your servant and all of us who have accepted to proclaim your name to the vulnerable, and also assist the mission of the Church. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
