*NOVENA TO THE NATIVITY OF BLESSED VIRGIN MARY*

"Always pray and never give up" - Luke 18:1

In this novena, we will be praying for greater holiness in marriage and the family! The family is so very important in our lives and in our society! So, we are going to pray that the sacrament of marriage is strengthened and that families are sanctified. We also pray for Religious and Priestly families. We further add our private intentions.

 

*NATIVITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY NOVENA - DAY 1 AUGUST 30*

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

V. O God, come to my assistance.

R. O Lord, make haste to help me.

V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

R. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Jesus, I trust in You. Please grant through Your mother’s intercession that I may always bring Your hope into my family.

Jesus, I trust in You. Please grant through Your mother’s intercession that I may always bring Your love into my family.

Jesus, I trust in You. Please grant through Your mother’s intercession that I may always bring Your mercy into my family.

Heavenly Child, lovable Mary, the Eternal Father delights in your birth, for He beholds in your coming into this world one of His creatures who is so perfect that she will become the worthy Mother of His divine Son. May your birth give joy to my soul also, by obtaining for me from the heavenly Father, the pardon of my sins, and an abiding sorrow for them.

Our Lady, on this feast of your birth, please pray for stronger and holier marriages. Amen.

Most lovable Mother Mary, our Father in Heaven created you with delight. You are His creature whom He made worthy to become the holy Mother of His Son. You were born into a family of Saints. Pray for me today that my joy in your Son will increase and that my family may become more holy.

Dearest Mother, please pray for me and for these my intentions…(State your intentions)

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

*Prayer/Antiphon:* Your Nativity, O Virgin Mother of God, was the herald of joy to the whole world; since from you arose the Sun of Justice, Christ our God, who, destroying the curse, bestowed the blessing, and confounding death, rewarded us with life everlasting.

V. Let us celebrate with joy the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

R. That she may intercede for us with Our Lord Jesus Christ.

*Let us pray:* Grant to us your servants, we beseech you, O Lord, the gift of Your heavenly grace, that as our salvation was begun in the child-bearing of the Blessed Virgin, so from this solemn festival of her Nativity may we obtain an increase of peace. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
